How long is the bridging time in the event of a power failure?

A.

This mainly depends on the capacity of the batteries in the UPS and the power requirements of the connected devices. You should therefore always consider your circumstances when making a purchase decision and discuss this with your dealer.

F?

How can I determine the energy requirement of my UPS?

A.

There are several ways to determine the energy requirements of your appliances. The easiest way is certainly to ask your dealer. They will be happy to help you find the right UPS for your application. If you want to know more precisely, you can also determine the demand with suitable measuring devices. If you do not have such measuring devices, please contact your installer or dealer. Of course, we will also be happy to help you.

F?

How big does a UPS need to be for my application?

A.

The ‘size’ of a UPS is typically always given in VA (Volt*Ampere). However, you must not confuse this with the watts specified on the rating plate of your devices. The conversion factor (W/VA) can be assumed to be 0.6 to 0.7 for most devices, i.e. for a device with a power consumption of 200 watts, you need a UPS with 290 VA. Please note, however, that there are devices with a different power factor!

F?

How is a UPS constructed?

A.

The main components of a UPS are the electronics and the batteries. Depending on the design, the electronics regulate the energy flow between the power supply and the connected device and switch over to the batteries in the event of a power failure. Uninterruptible power supplies can generally be divided into devices with online, grid-interactive and offline operating principles.

F?

What is a UPS?

A.

An uninterruptible power supply is an electronic device that is connected between the power supply (e.g. socket) and a device (e.g. computer). In the event of faults or a total power failure, the UPS takes over the provision of power. Modern uninterruptible power supplies also increase the service life of devices by filtering out interference from the power supply.

F?

What power requirements does my printer have?

A.

The average power requirement of a laser printer is 1000 VA. However, it is only advisable to protect your printer if its availability must be guaranteed - this can be useful for printers that output error messages, for example. In principle, however, you will not lose the data being printed. Your computer, which is protected by a UPS, still gives you enough time to save the data in the event of a power failure.

F?

Is it possible to ship directly to our customers?

A.

On request, we can also ship directly to your customers with your original delivery note, which you can send to us either by fax or post. In this case, ERREPI does not act as the sender. Of course, you automatically receive customer protection for these customers.

F?

Do you offer customer protection?

A.

Customer protection is very important to us. This means that although we provide your customers with technical advice, we do not pass on prices and refer them to you. We are also happy to confirm this customer protection in writing.

F?

Do you support us in the processing of specifications and tenders?

A.

Send us your specifications and tender texts - either by fax or, in the case of more extensive texts, by e-mail or post. They will be processed immediately by our sales experts. Depending on the scope and specifications, processing takes one to seven working days.

F?

How fast is the delivery?

A.

Our UPS devices - up to an output of 6 kVA (OP6003) - are generally available for immediate delivery from our Landsberied warehouse. Larger capacities and autonomy times can be delivered within one to a maximum of five weeks. The delivery time depends on the power, the autonomy time and the battery type (5 or 10 years). We deliver our special developments by arrangement.

F?

What are the shipping costs?

A.

You (almost) never have to pay freight and packaging costs with us. We deliver all UPS systems carriage paid within the Federal Republic of Germany. We pass on the freight costs for all other UPS series (3-1) (3-3) and spare parts to you at cost price.

F?

How long do repairs take?

A.

Repairs are usually carried out within 24 to 48 hours. For repairs under warranty, either a free replacement or a free loan of a replacement device will be provided as an alternative to the repair, if available from stock.
